Washington State Motorcycle Permit Practice Test

The WA DOL motorcycle instruction permit knowledge test is 50 questions โ€” you must answer at least 40 correctly (80%) to pass. This practice tool simulates the full permit exam by randomly drawing 50 questions from a 150+ question bank covering every topic in the official WA Motorcycle Operator Manual.

Washington State Motorcycle Endorsement Practice Test

After earning your permit, the endorsement knowledge test is 25 questions โ€” pass with 20 correct (80%). You may then complete an approved motorcycle safety course or the DOL riding skills test to receive your endorsement. Riders under 18 must complete an approved safety course.

Two-Wheel & Three-Wheel Endorsement Tracks

Washington issues separate endorsements for standard two-wheel motorcycles and three-wheel motorcycles (trikes and sidecar rigs). This practice test includes dedicated question pools for both tracks, including three-wheel specific topics like tip-over lines, yaw, sidecar cornering behavior, and drifting technique.
